Terms of Service
The agreement between you and The Wild Pest. Written to be read once and understood — not buried in fine print.
Who these terms are between
These terms govern your use of The Wild Pest Ltd.services (“The Wild Pest,” “we,” “our”) by you (“you,” “the customer”). By booking a service, signing a quote, or paying an invoice, you agree to these terms.
What we provide
Pest control, wildlife management, and related inspection and exclusion services, provided at the service address you specify, performed by certified technicians licensed under British Columbia’s Structural Pesticide Applicator program. We use Health Canada–approved products and Integrated Pest Management protocols.
Scheduling, access, and cancellation
- You provide safe access to the service address. We’ll confirm a two-hour arrival window and text on the way.
- If we arrive and cannot access the property, a $95 trip-charge applies.
- You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before a booked visit at no cost. Cancellations inside 24 hours incur a $95 fee.
- Recurring plan customers may cancel at any time. No contract lock-in, no cancellation fee.
Guarantees
The Wild Pest offers three written guarantees. They are the legal commitments of this contract.
- 60-Day Pest Return Guarantee — if the same treated pest returns within 60 days of a one-time residential treatment, we re-treat at no cost. Continuous coverage requires the Quarterly Plan.
- 3-Year Wildlife Exclusion Warranty — points sealed during a full-home wildlife exclusion are warranted for three years from completion. If wildlife breaches a sealed point within the warranty window, we repair it at no cost.
- Same-Day Response or Service Is Free — if you call by 11am on a business day and request same-day service, and we cannot have a technician at your door that day, your next treatment is free. Weather, wildfire conditions, and statutory holidays excepted.
Guarantees cover the treatment we delivered — they do not cover new infestations arising from unrelated conditions (e.g., new entry points created by renovations, new species introduced after our work).
Payment
Invoices are payable on completion unless otherwise agreed. Commercial accounts may be invoiced net-15. Late payments (over 30 days) incur 1.5% monthly interest. Returned payments (NSF, chargebacks without merit) incur a $35 administrative fee.
Pricing accuracy
Published prices are starting points. Final pricing is confirmed before any work begins, reflecting the specific home size, infestation severity, access complexity, and any optional upgrades. No hidden fees. No surprise charges.
Limitation of liability
The Wild Pest’s liability for any single service is limited to the fees paid for that service. We carry $5M general and professional liability insurance and will provide a certificate on request. We are not responsible for damage to items not disclosed to us (hidden infrastructure, rare collectibles in treated areas, etc.). Please move delicate items before treatment.
Privacy and confidentiality
See our Privacy Policy. We do not disclose our residential or commercial customers publicly without explicit written consent (no marketing case studies without opt-in).
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, then (if unresolved) submitted to mediation in Vancouver, BC, before any court action. The exclusive jurisdiction for any litigation is the courts of British Columbia.
Changes
If we materially change these terms, we’ll update the Last updated date and email active customers. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
