    Find the source

    We inspect the full structural perimeter — roof line, soffits, foundation, utility penetrations, crawlspace, attic — to locate the entry point and the active harbourage. Not just the pest.

    Most callbacks across the BC pest industry happen because the source was never identified — the technician treated the symptom (the visible rat, the wasp nest, the ant trail), collected the cheque, and walked away. Three weeks later the structure repopulates from the same untouched entry point. We don't write a quote until we've identified the entry and the harbourage. If we can't find them, we say so on the report and recommend further investigation — we won't fake a fix. The inspection runs against a fixed 25-point list — twelve points outside, eight inside, five on conducive conditions — published in full for the customer's benefit.

    Seal the entry

    Every entry point identified in step 1 gets sealed with industrial-grade materials. 19-gauge hardware cloth at vents, closed-cell foam in cavities, aluminium flashing on roof lines, vent caps on roof penetrations.

    Sealing is mandatory on every Wild Pest job. Not an upsell, not a separate visit, not a recommendation we hand off to a handyman. Materials we will not use: foam-only seals on rodent entry points (gets chewed), expanding foam in vents (blocks ventilation, fails inspection), steel wool with no caulk (rusts and falls out within a season). The materials we do use are documented in your photo report so a future tech — ours or anyone else's — can verify exactly what was installed.

    Then treat

    Only after the source is found and the entry is sealed do we treat the active population — with BC IPM Act-compliant materials matched to the species and the structure.

    Treatment without sealing is a maintenance contract: the structure keeps re-invading, the technician keeps coming back, the cheque keeps writing itself. Treatment after sealing is a bounded problem: the population inside is finite, no fresh animals are entering, and the work has a defined end.     You see the photo report

    Within 30 minutes of finishing the job, you receive a photo report: every entry point sealed, every harbourage treated, every material used, with annotated images and locations.

    Two reasons. First — accountability. You can verify the work without crawling into the attic. The before/after photos make the work legible. Second — return-visit context. If you ever invoke the guarantee, the next technician walks in with a complete record of what was done, which means they're diagnosing the gap, not re-diagnosing the original infestation. Most pest companies will tell you what they did. We show you.

    If pests return — we redesign

    We run the inspection again. We identify what was missed. We seal what wasn't sealed and treat what wasn't treated. The customer pays nothing for the second visit.
